The workshop participants have spent a day and a half preparing and practising for their Pecha Kucha presentations starting Tuesday morning. After each pair has presented, it is requested that they upload their Pecha Kucha file to this website. The files should each have 21 slides (including the title slide) and notes below each slide. They should be uploaded to the Pecha Kucha Uploads page
A Pecha Kucha competition is being organised by the Fellows for the 'PP' students in their revision week, and lecturers are also invited to attend and participate. The participants will be given instruction and guidance to prepare a 20X20 Pecha Kucha presentation (20 slides, 20 seconds each), with the added stipulation of no words at all on the slides. Students will work in pairs, and at the end of the week prizes will be presented for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best presentations (provided they keep tot he rules).
The three fellows will also each give a Pecha Kucha presentation as a demonstration.
The materials related to the workshop (trainers and participants modules etc) will soon be available here on the website. Already on the Pecha Kucha page some materials are displayed.
In order to keep everything neat, and to avoid treading on each others' toes, we have created several individual websites so that the fellows can each have their own. Of course, they are all clearly linked to this Kuala Terengganu Fellows 2012 site.
Peter is uploading material to his site:
Communicative ESL which is especially about speaking and listening and using the Communicative Approach.
William is uploading his courses to his site:
William Tweedie's EFL Professional Development Program.
Ruth has a site about Songs and Poetry for ESL, and a site for Stories for Malaysian Kids.
You can click on any of the links (above) here, or elsewhere on the ktf2012 site.
Some people would like to be notified whenever new material is added to the site, without having to keep checking back on the off-chance of seeing something new.
